SCENE UNFOLDS with Maya (Chanel Preston) and her offspring Kali (Alison Rey) perched on the bed in Kali's quarters. Maya is grooming Kali's hair, cooing over her. Kali is akin to a life-size doll and the ambiance is disconcerting. Maya declares she's going on a date. Kali is taken aback, then concerned. She tries to conceal it but fails, remarking that her mother never confided in her about any romantic interests... Maya's hand grips Kali's shoulder tightly as she grows aggravated. Kali shrinks back from the harsh reprimand and from the sharp sensation in her shoulder. Maya promptly suppresses the anger and overdoes the tenderness. She draws Kali in for a close embrace and extends an apology. Kali seems a tad anxious as Maya decorates her hair with a bow. She opens it and leans provocatively against the doorjamb. She's a bit clumsy with it, given her lack of experience. Sebastian retraces his steps down the hallway, seemingly amused to find Kali in her doorway. She invites him into her room. Sebastian is somewhat skeptical, but then smirks as he steps inside. Sebastian is coarse right from the beginning, heaving Kali onto the bed and fondling her firm breasts.
