Please Be Gentle

Alice (Paige Owens) is a timid, geeky young woman attempting to break out of her shell. A popular girl named Lexi extends an invitation to a pool party, and Alice sees this as an ideal opportunity. Upon her arrival, she instantly feels like a fish out of water as Lexi and her friends welcome her.
It soon becomes clear that she is there purely to be the target of their mockery. She doesn't know how to react, but ultimately decides to leave before the situation escalates further, though it's already too late. Before she can make her exit, one of the tormentors shoves her into the pool, the group laughing at her expense.
As she drags herself out of the pool, crying uncontrollably, the party is abruptly ended by Lexi's father, Raymond (Tommy Pistol). Raymond, livid at his daughter's behavior, sends everybody home. He assists Alice inside to provide her with dry clothes, expressing his disappointment in Lexi's actions, though not entirely surprised.
Alice discovers that Raymond is not a content family man. He has a strained relationship with Lexi, who is as dreadful as her mother. Instead, he prefers girls like Alice.
Intelligent, kind-hearted, and innocent.
Alice begins to feel uneasy when Raymond starts to flatter her, pretending as if he UNDERSTANDS her, attributing it to him being similar to her in the past -- certainly more similar than he ever was to Lexi. He reassures Alice that she is perfect as she is and doesn't need to change to fit in. She doesn't need to emulate Lexi.
In fact, it would be preferable if she didn't. Alice finds herself succumbing to Raymond's charm, though she attempts to fight it. It seems like he's trying to seduce her and he's a married man! Furthermore, she's a virgin.
But Raymond is adamant that these details are irrelevant.
He insists that she should experience her first time with a man who is more experienced and can truly CARE for her. Someone like HIM. Doesn't that sound appealing? Alice is tempted, yearning to be the focus of positive attention for once, but her previous risk didn't yield a favorable outcome. Could this attempt be any different?.
