Jekyll & Dad

The scene opens with a 19-year-old teenager, Lucy (Jojo Kiss), busy doing her homework. She calls out to her friend Emma (Kay Carter) in the other room, but receives no response. Growing concerned, Lucy ventures out into the corridor, anxiously searching for Emma.
Eventually, at the other end of the house, she finds Emma engaged in a friendly conversation with her stepfather, Mr. Edwards (Dick Chibbles). They look at her somewhat surprised as she enters, looking rather frantic.
Emma explains that they ran out of toilet paper in the other bathroom so she went in search of another, and had just bumped into Lucy's dad and they started talking. Emma exclaims, 'I had no idea your stepfather was a cop, Lucy, you never mention him!' Lucy seems eager to get Emma back to her room, insisting they should return to their studies. Mr.
Edwards proposes that Emma should stay for dinner, but Lucy cuts in saying Emma can't. Mr. Edwards assures Emma she's welcome if she changes her mind, or if she wishes to return after her lessons for a late-night study session.
Emma thanks him graciously, while Lucy tries to discreetly guide Emma out of the room. Somewhat flustered, Emma manages to say it was nice meeting him before succumbing to Lucy's ushering tactics. Mr.
Edwards calls after the girls that it was a pleasure to meet her too. Once the girls are out of sight, Mr. Edwards' hand slowly clenches into a tight fist, trembling with anger.
Without warning, he pounds his fist against the nearby wall. CUT TO TITLE Later that evening, Lucy and her stepfather are quietly finishing a meal at the dining room table. Emma seems like a nice girl, Mr.
Edwards comments to Lucy. 'She's 19, the same age as you?' he inquires. Lucy nods.
Mr. Edwards takes a moment to savor a mouthful of his food, and then asks 'What did you think of my little stunt with the toilet paper?' Lucy does her best to disregard him. 'Well,' he says as he lifts his napkin from his lap, gently wipes his face, then crumples it up and sets it on his plate, 'it's a pity about Emma.
Guess it'll just be the two of us tonight. ' In a paternal tone, he tells her to brush her teeth and prepare for bed. Lucy rises from her seat and departs the table without uttering a word.
Shortly after, in her bedroom, Lucy sits on the edge of her bed. After a few lengthy seconds of anticipation, the door opens and Mr. Edwards, wearing only his boxers, stands silhouetted against the light of the hallway.
'Are you ready to kiss your stepdad goodnight, Lucy?' he taunts in a gravelly voice. 'Yes, daddy,' she replies. It seems that this dad has an entirely different facet.
