Soaking
Clara and Brighten (played by Cadence Lux and Hazel Moore), two members of a traditional country family, are sharing a meal with their parents at their family residence. As they participate in a prayer before eating, Brighten nudges Clara covertly under the table, hinting that she needs to have a confidential conversation with her once their parents depart for their later errands. Clara silently acquiesces, although she's baffled about what could be so pressing for Brighten.
Later in the day, Brighten raps on Clara's door, who welcomes her in. With their parents absent for the next few hours, Brighten feels at ease discussing her concerns with Clara - provided that she swears to keep what she's about to divulge a secret. Clara consents, but is taken aback when Brighten ushers in her boyfriend, Elijah (portrayed by Seth Gamble).
Brighten elaborates that even though she and Elijah are devoted to each other and plan to marry post-university, they are struggling to maintain their chastity until that point. Elijah confesses how, in spite of his religious beliefs, he's found himself plagued by unclean thoughts and even viewing explicit content online. Clara is taken aback.
