Returned

Susan (Reagan Foxx) receives an unexpected call from a stranger who introduces himself as John (Joshua Lewis) and behaves as though he's familiar with her. Susan, however, is confused as the only John she knows is her deceased husband, who passed away more than 18 years prior. Despite this, the young man claims to be her husband, John, reincarnated.
Susan becomes distressed, thinking this must be a cruel joke, yet the man shares private information only John would know. Susan begins to question her own doubts when the man, who insists he is John, apologizes for the abrupt ending of his previous life. He reveals that he was secretly battling PTSD and the burden eventually became too heavy to bear.
This revelation leaves Susan stunned. John expresses his remorse for the suffering he's caused her and informs her of his desire to utilize this second chance by remarrying her. Torn, Susan is given John's contact number before he departs.
Days later, Susan finds herself in a conversation with her younger sister, Evelyn, who is urging her to distance herself from the man claiming to be John. Evelyn and the rest of Susan's family are convinced that the man is nothing more than a deceitful gold-digger. Despite their suspicions, Susan remains conflicted due to the intimate details the man knows that only John would.
Susan ends the call with Evelyn and decides to dial the number John had given her. John arrives later that day and Susan confesses that she's feeling overwhelmed and that her family disapproves of the unfolding situation. John is remorseful and decides to leave, but Susan is unable to bear the thought that a second chance with her husband might be slipping away.
She pleads with him to stay, asserting that the only way she'll be certain he is indeed her late husband is if they become physically intimate. there were specific things she liked that ONLY John would be aware of.
