The Deflowering

As the scene kicks off with a black screen, Amy's (Piper Perri) laughter is heard along with the question, 'Adam, what are you up to?' Her boyfriend (Robby Echo) reassures her, 'We're nearly there darling, just hold on a bit longer...' He leisurely removes his hand from her eyes and, from Amy's perspective, we get our first glimpse of their location. It's the couple's anniversary, and the geeky pair, both 19, are celebrating in Adam's new abode. Amy takes a moment to get her bearings and surveys the rental property for the first time. It's a grand mansion... a significant upgrade from his parent's basement! Adam brags about their newfound freedom from parental supervision, and mentions his elaborate plans for their anniversary day. Amy is stunned and puzzled about Adam's ability to afford such a place, but he dismisses her concerns, attributing it to a new job and his dedication towards building a stable future for the two of them. When Amy requests a tour of the house, Adam hurriedly escorts her to his room. This is odd, given the grandeur of the house... but Amy trusts him and follows him into his bedroom. He anxiously peeks down the hallway before closing the door. The lens focuses on the shut door for a while before shifting to another area of the house, where a group of intimidating men can be seen packaging and stacking drug packets into a delivery bag. The pair begins to make out in Adam's room when a loud knock on his door interrupts them. One of the men from the hallway demands that Adam join them in the living room. Adam muffles Amy's mouth and conjures up a flimsy excuse, but they ridicule him and instruct him to come downstairs immediately. Before Amy can react, Adam assures her that it's just his new roommates playing a prank on him, and instructs her to stay quiet in his room. Amy sits on the bed in confusion before deciding to investigate. As she tiptoes into the living room, she is shocked to see her geeky boyfriend surrounded by the gang... who are badgering and mocking him while he counts kilos on the table. She overhears enough to learn that he has been assisting them in their operations in return for free accommodation. He messed up their previous delivery's count, and they threaten to kick him out unless he rectifies it. Adam looks feeble and anxious as he attempts to negotiate his way out of the situation. The gang takes pleasure in tormenting and using the geeky boy as a punching bag, especially since it's evident that Adam yearns to be one of them. However, they stop in their tracks when they notice Amy's presence...
