SCENE BEGINS with a man lounging in a chair in his sitting room, nonchalantly perusing a newspaper while the noises of intimate activities echo from a nearby room. The man, named Roger (Dick Chibbles), seems unphased by the sounds. Soon, there is a lusty moan from the man in the other room as he reaches climax.
Moments later, another man emerges from the neighboring room, securely closing the door behind him. He fastens his pants as he departs the room. Upon hearing him, Roger raises his eyes from his newspaper, a broad smile spreading across his face.
Everything went smoothly?, he inquires of the other man. Absolutely, as delightful as always, but. the man pauses before adding,.
she seemed a bit.
exhausted today, he concludes.
Really, she did?, Roger responds, subconsciously clenching the newspaper tight enough to wrinkle the pages. Indeed, the client confirms, not as enthusiastic as usual. Roger courteously expresses his regret, he's really sorry about that, the client can anticipate a more enjoyable time on his next visit, Roger promises.
'I will PERSONALLY. ensure that this doesn't occur again,' Roger declares with an undertone of threat. The man assures him he is appreciative, and Roger escorts him to the door. He bids the man farewell with a friendly wave and a smile, then secures the door behind him.
As soon as the man is out of sight, Roger spins around, his smile supplanted with an expression of wrath. He unlocks the door of the bedroom to unveil a bare woman, Lucy (
Athena Rayne), who is curled up on the bed. She appears depleted and spent, staring absent-mindedly.
When Roger enters, she is jolted from her stupor and looks at him. What the hell Lucy?!, Roger demands angrily, looming over her on the bed. He said you seemed.
EXHAUSTED?, he presses.
That man is one of their most valuable customers, has truly fallen for her, so they need to ensure his satisfaction regardless, Roger insists, barely suppressing his fury. 'I understand, I just. I'm genuinely so. SO fatigued. tired of it all. he was the third guy today,' Lucy admits wearily. 'I don't care if you're worn out! You're aware how critical our situation is,' Roger retorts.
She's aware, she just. she can't endure this any longer, it has to end, Lucy responds numbly. Roger inhales deeply to control his rage, closing his eyes momentarily. He takes a seat on the edge of the bed beside Lucy, adopting a more patient, understanding tone to try to rationalize with her.
'Lucy. you're aware of the consequences if we don't settle our debts, correct? You wouldn't want me to disappear, would you? Then it's your responsibility to rectify this. '
Lucy acquiesces with a nod, resigned. 'Alright, then clean yourself up, you look revolting, and you've got another appointment arriving shortly.
and you can't greet a client looking like.
this,' he instructs, curtly, his gentle demeanor instantly dissipating as he waves a hand in disgust at her.
'I raised you with better standards than this, didn't I?' he adds. Lucy gazes up at him with weary eyes. 'Yes Daddy,' she replies.
CUT TO TITLE
The doorbell chimes and Roger moves to answer it. He grins as he opens the door to welcome his daughter's next client, John (
Tommy Pistol). The client greets him frigidly, no smile in sight.
Roger invites him inside. This is his first visit here, correct? Roger asks congenially. Yes, the man responds tersely.
Alright, then he'll go over the basic rules, Roger says. Cut to Lucy's room as Roger lays out the basic rules, his voice muffled behind the door. Lucy is nearly finished tidying up.
We observe as she completes her makeup in a compact mirror and slips into some enticing lingerie. She looks fresh and well-composed, but her eyes reveal a deep-seated fatigue. She perches on the edge of the bed and stares into nothingness.
Cut back to Roger and John. Roger has just finished detailing the basic rules. Does he comprehend?, Roger queries.
The man pauses. Yes, everything's understood, he responds quietly. 'Additionally, I should mention that there are certain.
activities.
I'm interested in that may.
not EXACTLY align with her usual.
,' John adds.
'I'm certain we can come to some arrangement,' Roger replies. Cut back to Lucy in her room, who is still staring blankly, lost in her thoughts. There is a knock at the door, which shocks her out.
