Ben (
Will Pounder), a committed husband and father, gets back from a trip. He parks in his dimly lit garage and steps out of his vehicle, engaged in a phone conversation with his wife. Little does he know, as he utters 'I love you' and ends the call, a figure is hiding in the darkness.
As he flips on the lights, he's shocked to find Cassie (
Lisey Sweet) standing there, clad in a baseball cap and oversized hoodie. Ben immediately goes on guard, assuming he's being robbed in his own home, but she convinces him that he recognizes her. She's the street kid he's previously shared meals with! She became so accustomed to his presence that when he suddenly stopped showing up, she couldn't help but worry.
All she wanted was to confirm he was safe!
While Ben initially reacts with fear, he reassures her he's absolutely fine. Observing her distress, he feels sympathy for Cassie and invites her in to clean up. Clearly, she can't stay with him, but he's committed to offering her whatever assistance he can.
Cassie is enamored with him. She's captivated by his compassion, craving nothing more than his affection. However, she struggles with expressing her feelings appropriately.
Her intensity puts Ben off, leading him to rebuff her every attempt at getting close. Confused and yearning for human interaction, she starts to undress, hoping to catch his attention with her bare body. This unsettles Ben once again, leaving Cassie even more perplexed.
Doesn't he desire to be intimate with her? Otherwise, why would he have shown her such kindness?
Ben is horrified -- he's a devoted family man who deeply loves his wife! Not every man is looking to exploit her. However, when Cassie refuses to leave and becomes even more forward, Ben finds himself torn. If he yields just once, perhaps she'll exit his life and never return.
