The Widow

The scene starts with Aubrey Kate, sitting in her vehicle, visibly upset. She dabs at her tears, composes herself, and steps out of the car. In haste, she enters a bereavement support group gathering, where Pierce Paris is sharing his deep sorrow over the passing of his spouse.

As Aubrey makes her entrance, the facilitator welcomes her warmly. Aubrey falters, surveying the room, and shakes her head, expressing her doubt that this assembly is suitable for her. The recent death of her beloved has left her shattered and she doesn't believe discussing it will bring any comfort.

But with gentle persuasion, the facilitator convinces Aubrey to remain. She silently settles into her seat as the next group member starts talking. As the session concludes, Pierce notices Aubrey by herself and approaches to introduce himself.

They initiate a camaraderie, finding common ground in their mutual sorrow. Navigating their emotional turmoil together, they grow increasingly close, fostering a more profound and intimate relationship, until one evening, they decide to progress their relationship further. It appears these two grieving individuals have finally rediscovered love.

but could this be simply the onset of further heartache?.
