SCENE UNFOLDS with Tammy (
Sovereign Syre). She is engrossed in a call with her friend, tidying her surroundings as she converses. She broaches the topic of her recent split and expresses her joy about relocating to an entirely new abode.
Tammy also shares her recent habit of misplacing items. Tammy scans her new apartment with a beaming smile, thrilled about her fresh start. CUT TO TITLE
A few days afterwards, Tammy emerges from the bathroom, wrapped in a towel and sporting another on her head.
It's evident she has just finished taking a shower. As she navigates towards her bed, she glances at the floor, halting abruptly at the sight of something. She appears taken aback and baffled as she spots an untouched, unlit cigarette.
Tammy picks it up, appearing visibly perturbed as she survey the room. Tammy, a non-smoker, hurriedly rings up her superintendent Ray (
Calvin Hardy) to inquire if any maintenance personnel have accessed her apartment. He informs her that no one has, and hints at the possibility of the previous occupant still possessing a key.
This revelation heightens Tammy's anxiety, but Ray reassures her of the building's security. Several days later, Tammy reaches home to an ajar door. Feeling anxious and unsure of her next move, Tammy dials Ray in a state of panic.
He assures her that he'll arrive shortly to alter the locks as a preventative measure. Moments later, Ray completes the lock change. Tammy is extremely grateful to Ray for bolstering her sense of security.
However, Tammy is oblivious to something about Ray. something that would make her reconsider ever allowing him into her home.
