Fond Memories

Jay Romero, playing the role of Ryan, introduces his new girl, Lacy Lennon, who plays Lydia, to his home. Lydia is eager to meet Ryan's remaining parent, Nate, a character played by Tommy Pistol, as she believes it's the next progression in their relationship. Ryan shares Lydia's anticipation, voicing his desire for Lydia to feel like part of their family. Before they step into the house, Ryan carefully checks Lydia's hair, making small adjustments. She had recently had her hair styled as per Ryan's suggestion, and he appears peculiarly intent on ensuring it looks flawless. Upon entering the house, they encounter Nate, who seems downcast while playing the piano. After introductions between Lydia and Nate, Nate notes a familiarity about Lydia, but she dismisses it, claiming they've never met before. She urges Nate to continue his piano performance, complimenting the beautiful melody. Nate proceeds, albeit with a touch of sorrow, explaining that his late wife was a superior pianist. Nonetheless, Lydia enjoys Nate's performance, sitting beside him for a spell. Something about Lydia’s company appears to brighten Nate's mood, inducing a smile. Ryan then reveals a surprise for Lydia, guiding her to another room where a present awaits. The gift turns out to be new footwear and a lovely dress, custom made for Lydia. After changing into her new attire, Ryan appraises her look, fixing her hair before complimenting her. Lydia is overjoyed with her new clothes and expresses her gratitude for having Ryan in her life, especially considering she never thought she'd find happiness after a family member's death. Ryan parallels her situation to his own family's circumstances before suggesting they go show Nate her stunning new look. Upon reentering the living room, Nate is taken aback. Lydia, with her new hairstyle and outfit, strikingly resembles Nate's late wife Megan in her younger years. Lydia is distressed and confused by this realization, demanding an explanation from Ryan. Ryan confesses that Nate has been desolate and heartbroken since Megan's passing, and when he found Lydia, who bears a resemblance to Megan, he feigned romantic interest to groom her as a gift for Nate. Feeling betrayed, Lydia is outraged that her relationship with Ryan was a sham and decides to leave. However, Ryan reminds her of the pain her own family experienced due to loss, stating that Nate is currently experiencing the same sorrow. Lydia is moved by sympathy for Nate, and Ryan discreetly exits the room, leaving Lydia and Nate alone. Nate refers to Lydia as 'Megan', expressing his love and longing for her, which tugs at Lydia's heartstrings as she contemplates her own family's tragedy. When Nate requests to caress and kiss Lydia, she consents, just as Ryan had orchestrated...
