SCENE UNFOLDS as Marie (
Anny Aurora) is bidding farewell to her step-uncle Daniel (
Brad Newman) and his spouse Sandra (Karla Lane) - both clad for an evening extravaganza - at the threshold. Marie is left in charge of the house while Daniel and Sandra step out to commemorate their nuptial anniversary. Amid their transient conversation, Marie throws glances at Daniel, hinting at an underlying fascination, unnoticed by others.

Somewhat later, Marie is taken aback when Daniel and Sandra return prematurely.
