Once He's Out Of The Way...

Beth (Lily Larimar) is ready to leave the house when her father, Leonard (Clarke Kent), intervenes. Beth has been spending a lot of time out recently and Leonard is worried about this new habit. Beth is reluctant to share any information, but after some gentle persuasion, she nervously reveals that she has a new boyfriend. Leonard is thrilled and insists on meeting the boy. Several days later, Beth's boyfriend Jake (Romeo Mancini) comes over to get acquainted with Leonard. However, Leonard is shocked and disgusted when he discovers that Jake is a significantly older man. Leonard is enraged at Beth for dating someone much older and he also confronts Jake furiously for dating a girl of 18. The atmosphere is tense, and Jake departs before the quarrel escalates further. Beth, still in shock, says she needs time to process everything and departs, with Leonard cautioning her that she won't be welcomed back home if she chooses to stay with Jake. Later that same day, Beth finds herself in Jake's bedroom. She is devastated, while Jake attempts to soothe her. Leonard is the only family member Beth has, so she is unsure about how to handle Leonard's ultimatum. But Jake seems to be inspired. He begins persuading Beth that they need Leonard out of the equation for them to be truly happy together. Beth is taken aback and conflicted when Jake suggests they could push Leonard out of the picture by getting him into severe trouble. Beth has her doubts about going down such a path, but Jake is incredibly convincing...
