Collect Call

Sloan's (Katrina Colt) existence has crumbled, her spouse Eric (David Lord) has been found guilty and dispatched to the state prison. To add insult to injury, it was Eric's brother Hank (Alex Jones) who betrayed him, accepting a bargain for his own liberty. When Hank shows up at Sloan's front door, she doesn't hold back in calling him a coward. However, Hank perceives things differently. Yes, he snitched on his own kin, but he did it for justifiable reasons. He wants to safeguard Sloan, especially given that Eric will certainly be incarcerated for a lengthy period. Life will inevitably change, but Hank can at least offer some level of comfort to his sister-in-law. Sloan rebuffs all of his efforts to rationalise with her, repulsed by Hank's actions. Just when she's about to banish him permanently, Hank discloses his genuine emotions. He's in love with Sloan and always has been. Sloan is stunned by this disclosure and confesses that she's harboured similar sentiments for Hank too. But would she really deceive her husband in this way? It feels so... immoral. Despite her efforts to suppress her desires, she eventually succumbs to Hank's flattering and insistent words. They engage in passionate lovemaking, which is disrupted by a call from Eric. Sloan keeps him engaged, providing him comforting words while Hank remains close - and INTIMATE - with her.
