A Charitable Man

Following a morning spent scavenging for food in trash bins, innocent street-dwelling teenager Hailey (Aubrey Sinclair) finds a spot to rest in a nearby backstreet. She's grubby and grimy from her nights spent on the harsh city streets. Out of the blue, an imposing luxury sedan pulls up next to her, and a sophisticated, older businessman (Danny Mountain) inquires if she requires assistance.
She dismissively gestures him away, but the gentleman steps out of his vehicle and kneels down to meet her gaze. He introduces himself as Derek and proposes to take her somewhere for a hot shower and a meal. Moved by the genuine tone in his voice and the warmth in his eyes, the naive girl accepts the man's extended hand and they drive off towards his lavish residence.
Inside, she follows him to the shower. In the bathroom, she marvels at the extravagance of her new environment. She disrobes and cleanses the grime off her body.
Emerging from the bathroom draped in a towel, she finds the man in the bedroom assembling a spread of delicious delicacies for her to enjoy. While she indulges in juicy cherries, he inquires about her homeless state. She shares her story of being disowned by her parents at 18 for moving in with a man against their approval.
After a car accident led to her losing her job, she fell into desperate times. The man who was once her supporter turned abusive. She fled from him and has been struggling to survive on her own since.
The businessman listens empathetically, sharing his own story of amassing wealth in the property market and his fondness for aiding young girls without homes. He extends an invitation for the teenager to reside in his opulent home for a week or two. She's overwhelmed with gratitude, until he unveils his terms.
