Keep Your Family Close

A spouse (Chanel Preston) prepares a pleasant meal for her partner (Charles Dera). She attempts to engage him in conversation, but he seems preoccupied. Unbeknownst to her, his attention is consumed by a series of text messages from a suspected lover. Feeling frustrated by her husband's indifference, her gaze lands on a birthday greeting from her sister. "Family is crucial, isn't it?" she retorts to her husband, who yet again disregards her, indicating his lack of appreciation for his wife and family. Regrettably for him, retribution is on its way. The following day, a young girl (Whitney Wright) appears at the husband's home, throwing his world into chaos. The teen maintains an unsettling calm, while the husband can do nothing but gawk at her. Before he can send her on her way, the wife spots the teen and invites her in, under the presumption that she's peddling cookies. The teen clarifies that there's been a mix-up... she's not there to hawk cookies, she's there to meet her father! The husband finds himself in a tight spot as the wife recovers from her initial surprise and welcomes the teen girl into their home, offering her a place to live now that they're kin! While the wife is filled with joy, the husband realizes he's in a pickle as the teen sends him intense, smoky glances when the wife isn't observing. There's more to this situation than initially apparent, and the husband's problems are only just starting.
