Amnesiac

The scene commences from James' (Tyler Nixon) point of view. His eyes are shut tight, resulting in a black screen. Suddenly, the harsh noise of a vehicular collision forces his eyes to fly open.
His laboured breathing resonates as he scans his environment, trying to comprehend his location. As his sight becomes clearer, he spots Annie (Sovereign Syre), perched at his bedside attending to him. Her demeanor is gentle and warm.
He suffers from memory loss, and she discloses her identity as his wife, promising to care for him until his memory is restored. CUT TO TITLE Several days pass, and James' memory remains blank. Annie appears determined to keep him confined to bed.
It is unveiled that Annie found James roadside, following his involvement in a hit and run accident during one of his evening strolls. Instead of rushing him to the hospital, Annie decided to take him home and nurse him back to health herself. Later that day, after Annie departs for work, James attempts to use the internet but finds it inoperative.
He slouches back in his chair, perplexed. Something grabs his attention: a photograph of him and Annie displayed on the nearby mantle. They appear to be a blissful, perfect couple.
He studies the photo with a frowning brow, sensing something amiss but unable to pinpoint it. Just as he sets out to investigate further, Annie opens the front door and walks in. Annie clarifies that the internet hasn't been functional for an extended period, a norm for the secluded rural area they inhabit.
Prior to his accident, she had been nagging him to contact the internet service provider about the issue. However, she doesn't want to burden him with such matters now and insists that she will make the call to the internet company at her earliest convenience. She leans in to give him a kiss before exiting the room to prepare dinner.
He smiles at her retreating figure, though a hint of suspicion lurks in his eyes. Later that night, James stumbles upon a dubious receipt. He questions Annie about the receipt, which is for their wedding rings and is only a fortnight old, despite them being married for a decade.
She explains that they never had the means to purchase extravagant rings, and a few weeks ago, he surprised her with brand new ones. James seems to buy her explanation, but a seed of skepticism has been sown. Subsequently, James scrutinizes a photo of him and Annie.
It's evident that the photo has been tampered with. James confronts Annie about the photo. She argues that there is an issue with their printer that causes photos to print out erroneously.
He accepts her explanation, but his suspicion continues to mount. The following day, as James searches for any evidence of foul play, his memory abruptly returns in a rush. For the first time in what seems like forever, James faces Annie with a clear mind, furiously declaring that he remembers everything.
James now fully comprehends the secret that Annie's been concealing, and he's determined to ensure she NEVER forgets the consequences of her deceit.
