Pushover

SCENE BEGINS with Nora (Kit Mercer) fussing over her attire and showing signs of dissatisfaction. Her husband Roger (Jimmy Broadway) attempts to reassure her by complimenting her appearance, but Nora remains discontent. Recently wed, Roger and Nora are expecting Roger's son from a previous relationship, Mark (Alex Jett), who is returning from university. Nora directs her frustration at Roger, blaming him for the late arrival of her new dress. She argues that had he chosen a quicker delivery option over the most economical one, she would not be in this predicament. Desperate to placify Nora, Roger suggests a shopping trip as recompense. Later, Mark's arrival is marked by his vehicle pulling up to the house where Nora and Roger anticipate his return. Greetings are exchanged, with introductions between Mark and Nora taking place. Roger exudes joy at seeing Mark, whereas Mark's response towards Roger is amicable yet somewhat restrained. Mark and Nora, however, show a warmer interaction and Nora seems particularly smitten. Nora embraces Mark, who then excuses himself to retrieve the rest of his luggage from the car. As Mark departs, Nora points at him, her face radiating desire. She informs Roger that instead of the proposed shopping trip, she desires... Mark. CUT TO TITLE Roger is taken aback at Nora's insinuation of engaging in intimate relations with Mark. She confronts Roger, questioning if he denies her request, but he fails to confront her. Nora communicates that Roger will observe her having Mark as an 'after-dinner delight'. Some time later, Nora and Mark are lounging on the sofa post-dinner. Roger is present too, but his demeanor is visibly uneasy. Mark expresses appreciation for Nora's culinary skills, beaming at her. Nora reciprocates the smile, indicating that it's time for the unexpected dessert. She suggests that Roger should explain this peculiar surprise to Mark. Roger is appalled and embarrassed at the prospect of disclosing this to Mark. Nora continues to expectantly gaze at Roger, while Mark appears confounded. Roger reluctantly attempts to explain Nora's request to Mark, but he is unable to articulate it and begins to stutter. Growing impatient, Nora intervenes and reveals the 'surprise' to Mark, stating her intention to engage in sexual activity with him in Roger's presence. Initially, Mark is shocked, but it soon becomes evident that he harbors resentment towards Roger and decides to grant Nora's request. Roger is on the verge of facing the consequences of his submissive nature...
