Living Well

Two accomplished attorneys, and good buddies, Paul (Tommy Pistol) and Brian (Alex Mack), stroll into a coffee shop. They place their orders with an alluring young waitress, Amy (Paige Owens). Both men engage in a light-hearted flirtation with Amy, particularly Paul, who remarks that he can discern Amy is new here as he would have remembered such a beautiful face.
Amy is both amused and flattered, proceeding to prepare their orders. A third man enters the coffee shop, recognizing Brian. He introduces himself as Jason Black (Clarke Kent), an old high school mate of Brian's.
Paul appears taken aback upon hearing the name. Brian and Jason converse for a while to reconnect, and Brian subsequently introduces Paul, suggesting that Jason might know him too from high school. Paul reluctantly admits that he did know Jason.
Despite Jason's amusement at seeing Paul, the sentiment does not appear to be mutual. Amy then approaches their table, jovially questioning Jason's presence. It is revealed that Jason is her parent, and Jason gleefully introduces Amy as his intelligent little darling, boasting that she is a diligent student with outstanding academic performance.
Jason informs Amy that Brian and Paul were his high school mates, and Amy appears thrilled at the mini reunion taking place. After Amy and Jason depart, leaving Brian and Paul by themselves, Paul appears distressed. He confides in Brian that Jason was his incessant tormentor back in high school, making his life miserable.
Paul still harbors resentment and anger towards Jason for his past actions, and even though it's evident from their brief encounter that Paul now leads a more prosperous life than Jason, he is not pacified by the notion that 'living well is the best revenge'. Concocting a scheme, Paul proposes to Brian that a far more gratifying form of vengeance would be if they both had intimate relations with Amy.
